In my kitchen in July

I’m making a lot of summer food in my kitchen in July and here are some of those dishes. Otherwise it has been quiet with just going on some walks in the evenings and not doing much else. It’s a rainy day today so we will be going to Denmark’s national gallery after a long while. I’m a holder of an annual pass for two so we usually go there often. There is a special exhibition by German expressionists at the moment, which I’m quite keen to see, but now to the food and stuff.

My lovely partner bought more of these beautiful ceramic bowls for me.

I was lucky to find some qualitative fresh borlotti beans in the market so I made cheese and garlic pinwheels with a borlotti bean, pasta shell and tomato soup.

This is a nice bounty from the market.

Fried new potatoes with smokey bbq chunks and salad

Loaded nachos with cantina style black beans

Tacos with spicy vegan chunks and pineapple salsa

Grilled corn, potatoes and cheese

Different summer pastas with light sauces, veggies and side salads

As usual, I’m sharing this post with the In My Kitchen challenge hosted by Sherry from the Sherry’s Pickings blog.

Have a great weekend everyone!

    1. Thank you so much Mae! I usually feel like I'm cooking the same stuff all the time, but especially now in the summer there's bit more variation. Have a nice July!

  2. Oh! Such delicious and lovely looking dishes! The pin wheels are interesting, perhaps they’re something I could try making.
Is that a grilled cheese on the plates with the corn on the cob?

    1. Thank you Belinda! The pin wheels were just an easy improvisation for a side: pizza dough, pre-fried garlic, butter and mozzarella. Try them!
Yes that is indeed grilled cheese. I love it with my bbq dishes.

  4. Those ceramic bowls your partner picked up are lovely. Love your bounty from the market and those chillies look almost black. I am liking the Mexican ingredients too, your kitchen is far more exciting than mine this month that is for sure.

    1. Yes the bowls are very nice and also the chillies were good, but like you say, very dark. I'm not sure, if it has been that exciting in my kitchen, but I have cooked a lot of food. :)

  5. Love all those summery meals - the vibrant colours, the purple flowers. Those garlic and cheese pinwheels would go down well in our house. Love your new ceramic bowls with the pasta in them.
