Yesterday I arrived back to England from my trip to my family in Finland and also a short visit to Copenhagen, one of my favourite cities. I had a great time on the holiday and now have to get used to my usual routine again. It's not too bad though, as I can cook in my own kitchen again, have the familiar shops around me to get the produce and can blog more! I will be posting more about the holiday later, once I get my photos sorted. In Copenhagen I detected some new favourite places that I definitely want to recommend for you and I will also post a couple of recipes I cooked for my family over Easter, nothing too fancy, just basic veggie dishes. I had the feeling though that we were eating more than on Christmas...
Here are a few souvenirs that I brought with me. I tried not to buy that much this time and even managed to keep the foodie stuff to a minimum (for my normal habits). I bought a new Moomin mug featuring the cute ancestor of the Moomins and napkins that have a map printed of the nearby archipelago to my home. In Copenhagen I did some Mikkeller beer shopping and got the cutest wooden ice bear ever from the North Atlantic House. I also bought a Copenhagen tea towel to add to my collections and birch smoked salt the ice bear is posing with.
I will be hosting Eat Your Greens cooking challenge again this month and we are welcoming new recipes for April. Please share your vegetarian or vegan recipes that contain a green vegetable with the challenge. Post the recipe on your blog and send the link to the post either by email to my co-host Shaheen and me, or simply add the link to the comment section below this post. Have a look here for more details on how to enter. I would be very happy to see many nice recipes, as spring is coming and it's nice to cook with fresh seasonal stuff. I'm very excited to see what you'll come up with!
Have a good week!
